Yoga belts are extremely useful tools for yoga practice that can help you in many ways to expand and refine your asana practice. With a yoga belt, you can bridge gaps and make postures easier and more achievable, or intensify stretches. Get your quality yoga belt from the YOGISHOP.

Your yoga strap - a versatile tool

Yoga straps can be used in many asanas and offer a variety of applications. They are used very frequently in Iyengar yoga and therapeutic yoga in particular, but are also very popular beyond that. If, for example, you cannot grasp your hands in the so-called "bound poses" (such as in Gomukhasana), the strap is the extension you need. If you want to stretch the back of your thigh muscles while lying on your back, place the yoga strap around your foot and use it to gently pull the leg that is stretched upwards closer and closer to you. In Dandasana, you can place the strap around both feet and work your way forward little by little... These three very different examples alone show how diverse the benefits of the yoga strap are and illustrate the range of possibilities. Purchasing a yoga strap can therefore be very worthwhile. Find out from your yoga teacher how you can use the yoga belt in a particularly effective way - yoga teachers who work with yoga belts themselves can usually give you various suggestions on how the yoga belt can best support you - especially if they know your level of practice from the class and therefore know which asanas you still need a little help with and which postures you can go even further with. If you are already an advanced practitioner and have a good assessment of your own practice and a feeling for alignment, you will also come up with many ideas on how you can use your yoga belt profitably. In any case, as already mentioned, the yoga belt can be an excellent help in developing your asana practice in a meaningful way.

Here is an overview of the various benefits and areas of application of the yoga belt:

  • Simplification of yoga postures, e.g. "bound" postures
  • Precise adjustment, i.e. alignment in yoga postures
  • Intensification of stretches

The different yoga straps at a glance

In our range you will find a selection of different yoga straps, which differ in length, among other things. You can choose between yoga straps with prints (e.g. to match the design of your yoga mat) as well as between different colours and materials. We offer the following yoga straps:

The yoga belt yogibelt 260P

The classic yoga strap made of cotton with a plastic buckle (the P in the name stands for "plastic") has a length of 260 cm.

The yoga belt yogibelt 260M

Like the model mentioned above, this yoga strap is made of cotton and has a length of 260 cm, but it is equipped with a metal ring (M in the name = metal).

The yoga belt yogibelt 210P

This is the smaller version of the cotton belt with plastic buckle: the length is 210 cm.

The yoga belt yogibelt Indian Flower

This is a yoga strap made of cotton with a beautiful Indian flower print . The buckle is made of plastic and the length of this strap is 260 cm.

The yoga belt yogibelt OM, MB

This model is an extra-long strap with OM print and metal D-ring: This attractively printed yoga strap measures an ultra-long 300 cm.

The Yoga Belt 260 MB Jute

Jute fiber was chosen as the material for this yoga strap. It is a yoga strap with a metal D-ring and a length of 260 cm.

Your yoga strap is durable and long-lasting

Of course, the yoga straps in our range are also of high quality, just like all other products in the YOGISHOP. This means that you don't have to worry about the tear resistance of your yoga strap and you will enjoy your yoga strap for a long time.

Can I also order the yoga belt "yogibelt" as studio equipment?

Of course, you can also order yoga belts in large quantities to equip your yoga school with them. As a rule, all models of yogibelts are in stock in large quantities, and of course, as a yoga teacher, you also benefit from your usual teacher discount. The robust yogibelts are ideal as teaching equipment!

Is the yoga belt also used beyond yoga?

Yoga straps can also be used as part of physiotherapy exercises.

Long or short - which yoga strap is right for me?

As mentioned above, we offer the "yogibelt" yoga belt in different lengths. If you are not sure which version to order, we recommend the longer yoga belt. If you do not need the entire length, you can simply shorten the belt or fold it in half. If you have any questions, our competent service team will be happy to advise you by phone or email (see Contact).

Is a yoga strap more suitable for beginners or more for advanced practitioners?

Both beginners and experienced practitioners can use a yoga belt; it is useful for all yoga practitioners. As indicated in the information above, a yoga belt can be used for various purposes. It can enable beginners to perform certain exercises even if they do not yet have enough flexibility to fully perform the asana without aids. Advanced yogis and yoginis can use the yoga belt to make asanas more challenging or to fine-tune the alignment, i.e. to make it more precise. The benefit of a yoga belt is therefore completely independent of how long or how intensively you have been practicing yoga.

Which yoga equipment is suitable in combination with my yoga strap?

Basically, a yoga belt can be used completely independently of other yoga aids; its use is not linked to other tools. However, similar to a yoga belt, yoga blocks can also make the asana practice more precise, and like the yoga belt, they can offer useful support in many ways. If you are thinking about using a yoga belt, this aid could also be of interest to you. Yoga belts and yoga blocks are probably the most common and universal yoga tools for asana practice. You can also find other props such as the very popular yoga bolsters or more special aids such as the yoga chair or the headstand stool in our accessories section.

We hope you have lots of fun with your yoga belt and many aha moments in your asana practice! Of course, we are always happy to receive your feedback on our yoga belts and our other yoga products.
