Liquorice - healthy in moderation
If you have high blood pressure, avoid excessive consumption of liquorice. Licorice can contain up to 14% glycyrrhizin. According to EU recommendations, the daily dose of glycyrrhizin should not exceed 100 mg per day. This corresponds to 700 mg of liquorice (approx. one level teaspoon of liquorice powder).
