One mat = one tree

For every YOGISTAR® yoga mat sold, YOGISTAR® plants a tree.

On his 14th release, Kirtan Wallah, KD returns to his American roots of rock and country music, while also embodying the spirit of Indian chanting. There are some traditional songs that are absolutely in keeping with the atmosphere of an Indian temple, with his sonorous baritone singing and harmonium setting the tone. But at its heart, this album is a natural confluence of KD's musical currents, such as a bansuri flute working its way through acoustic guitar sounds and country swing, or melodies backed by tabla and kartals that could have come from the music of the Towns Van Zandt repertoire.

What is particularly remarkable is the way in which this connection flows naturally from KD – not forced – and which, with the devotion flowing from his heart, playfully unites Bengali Kirtan and rock music, the Kumaon Hills and Nashville.
