Ecology:
Biodegradation: Soap made from vegetable oils has the incomparable characteristic of forming a compound with the lime that is always present in waste water immediately after use. As a result, the soap neutralises itself in its surface-active effect (primary degradation). This primary degradation occurs within a few hours. The lime soap is then 100% degraded to carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms (secondary degradation). Ethanol rejoins the natural cycle within a few hours. In addition to the natural glycerine that is released from the oils during saponification, we also use vegetable glycerine, which binds the moisture of the skin. In the production process of sugar tenside, parts are taken from the vegetable raw materials starch, sugar and fat, which, however, remain completely intact in their natural structural fabric. Therefore, it is relatively easy for microorganisms to quickly and completely degrade these surfactants to 100%. Soap and sugar surfactant are considered to be readily biodegradable according to OECD.
