One mat = one tree
For every YOGISTAR® yoga mat sold, YOGISTAR® plants a tree.
A fascinating and relaxing music with original sounds from Tashi Jong and Dharamsala. It is carried by the deep chants of the monks from the Namgyal Monastery, the monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
They repeatedly recite the mantra: OM MUNI MUNI MAHA MUNI YE SWA HA. This is the mantra of the Shakyamuni Buddha, the Buddha of the present age. Mantras are used for prayer and meditation. They enlighten and protect and can be spoken in repeated form, sung or recited silently.
The motivation for this CD project was to produce mantras in the original text with authentic sounds and original recitations embedded in fascinating, relaxing music. It was only through the work and video and sound recordings on site in Tashi Jong and in Dharamsala by Tashi Tsogyal that this CD was completed after several years of creative preparation. The CD was produced together with the producer and composer Curtis McLaw, who has already placed several instrumental CDs in the US Billboard charts, and was presented in detail in the large Dalai Lama glossy magazine "Encounters with the Dalai Lama".
This project was blessed by the live mantras of the late Venerable Tokden (Yogi) Amtrin, who also performed a blessing puja for the project. (BBC News wrote about Yogi Amtrin: His body will be mummified so that he can continue to be honored. The 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche, the spiritual leader of Tashi Jong, completed the blessing with a written document. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama also kindly blessed the project.
The monks from the Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, the monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, can be heard on the CD with their fascinatingly deep voices. The voices were recorded in the old moated castle of Wendhausen, where Curtis McLaw's studio is located.
