Vibrations by Acama (CD)

The singing bowls used in this production come from the mountains of Tibet, where people have used them for everyday and ritual purposes for many decades. They were handcrafted by local masters using simple means and have an excellent sound. Twelve different metals - important in Buddhism - are used in their production. After striking a bowl, the sound waves in the air can be felt. In this singing bowl music, vibrations and oscillations with their overtones are particularly pronounced, and you can hear how the different sound frequencies "rub against each other". Singing bowls are used for general relaxation and for therapeutic body work.
